Set a filter for concept with the disease name, almost all disease are expressed also as concept, e.g. Hepatic Fibrosis

Set a date filter if you like

 

Now you found all papers related to the concept. Press the TAB over GENES

 

 

Here you go! In the gene section you have the gene, number of time it has been cited
