Bizcase:Help a customer with literature
Biorecommender has a very powerful feaure inside, Deep-Search.
You know a researcher refer, when have to start or during a study, to literature, usually pubmed for medicine related science.
Biorecommender can set filters to find the right works inside the complete world-wide literature, and once the filters are set, extract related entities like:
- the works itself
- authors
- Institutes
- Concepts
- gene symbols cited
- diseases
- chemicals
In this case we are treating Chemical entity.
A customer working in pharma-Oncology is looking for chemicals free radical inducing inside cell, if you try to go on the big databases, you can pass a life before collecting the right data, Casnumbers and MeshID.
"ROS inducer" and "free radical inducer" are broad descriptors used in biochemistry and medical sciences. They refer to substances or conditions that can cause the production or increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) or free radicals within biological systems. Here are some synonyms and related terms commonly used:"
So use Biorecommender
Go in the deep-search section
set your filter e.g.
- ROS inducer
- free radical inducer
- ferroptosis inducer
-natural oxidant inside cell
Search in google or chatgpt all possible synonyms, so you are sure to not lose works related to:
1. Oxidative Stress Inducer - This term is often used interchangeably with ROS inducer, as ROS are major contributors to oxidative stress.
2. Pro-oxidant - Unlike antioxidants, pro-oxidants promote oxidation and can increase levels of ROS and free radicals.
3. Redox Active Compound - Compounds that can undergo reduction and oxidation (redox) reactions, often leading to the generation of ROS.
4. Oxidant - General term for agents that can oxidize other molecules, typically leading to the production of free radicals.
5. Radical Generator - Specifically refers to substances or conditions that directly produce radicals.
All filter are set, not necessary to filter for country, author or Institute or even starting and ending date of search. Run it
Now on the upper tabs, you have the possibilities to look all extracted entitites:
Select Chemicals and wait the list is loaded (this is necessary to have chemical entity into the excel report)
Now you can press the report button and have the list of all chemicals cited into the report.
Please pay attention, some of the chemicals in the report have the opposite function of the searcher one, usually in works writing about ROS inducer, also cite chemicals antioxidant, it is quite logic. So you have to interact with a database, matching the MESH number to undertand the function. By the way, if you send the report to the customer, I'm pretty sure he/she will be very happy.
Now you can also understand if you have the products listed to sell !!
